Hi. I’m John.

I am a writer, musician, and educator based in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.

For two decades I’ve taught creative nonfiction, narrative journalism, creative nonfiction, and podcasting at the University of Toronto Mississauga.

I also teach climate communication, having begun my career working in international development. A grant from the federal government sent me to East Africa for five months to document rural agriculture, health, and peacebuilding programs. I also raised funds for tree-planting at outdoor concerts across Canada put on by The Tragically Hip.
